Trading from the Chart

Enable Trading 


To enable trading from a chart click on the dollar icon in the upper left corner, alternatively right-click mouse anywhere on the chart area and click on Trading enabled.





Show Trading Panel


To show the trading panel enable the relevant checkbox at the bottom right of the chart, alternatively right-click mouse anywhere in the chart area and click on Show trading panel.





Trading Panel

Cross Trading Mini / Micro


At the top of the trading panel you can choose which instrument to trade with, this option of VolSys is particularly useful as it allows you to observe the data of the Mini futures and trade with the Micro, not requiring the'opening of additional charts.

Remember that in order to perform a proper volumetric analysis, one must always observe the data of the futures principal.


Furthermore the Qty open information, i.e., the contracts/shares with which you are possibly on the market, the Open P/L and the Daily P/L made on the instrument in question.




Trading Buttons

 

MKT

Inserts market buy or sell orders;


BID / ASK

Inserts limit orders at Best Bid and Best Ask, respectively;


LMT:

Inserts limit orders, specifically, the user will have the ability to manually enter buy limit orders at a price below the market price or sell limit orders at a price above the market price;


STP

Inserts stop orders, which are conditional type orders that upon their activation will go to insert market orders, specifically the user will have the ability to manually insert buy stop orders at a price above the market price or sell stop orders at a price below the market price;


STP LMT:

Inserts stop limit orders, which are stop orders that upon their activation instead of sending orders to market will go to insert limit orders. This type of orders is used to avoid entering at unfavorable prices suffering the slippage, with the risk of not being executed.


Cancel

Cancels all pending orders;


Close:

Closes the market position and cancels all pending orders.


With the left button of the mouse you can change the position of the orders limit and stop placed, while with the right button you can revoke them.


In the Qty, Broker and Account section, the user will respectively go to choose the quantity to trade with, the Broker and the Account he/she wants to trade with.


Tick diff.

If enabled, it allows the user to set a specific number of ticks for Bid and Ask orders. Specifically, if you enter e.g. 3, clicking the Bid but you will no longer go to enter a buy limit order at the best Bid, but the order will be entered at 3 ticks from the market price, same thing applies with the Ask button.





OCO Strategy

Enables OCO strategies (Order-Cancel-Order), i.e., gives the ability to hook two exit orders to the main order, one limit for a possible profit exit and one stop for a possible loss exit. Upon execution of one of the two stop orders, the other will be automatically revoked.

Show Historical Execution 

To show historical executions on the chart click on the settings icon and enable Show historical executions.



Trading Settings

Clicking on the settings icon and selecting the Trading settings will be able to make several changes related to orders, such as text size or color.



Chart Dom


To enable the Chart Dom click on the bottom right on DOM Trading and open the corresponding drop-down menu.

Chart trading width

Defines the'width of the Chart Dom;


Buy order left below last

Defines the type of order you will  enter by left-clicking in the buy column below the market price, by default you will insert a buy limit;


Buy order left above last

Defines the type of order you will enter by left clicking in the buy column above the market price, by default you will insert a buy stop;


Buy order right below last

Defines the type of order you will enter by right clicking in the buy column above the market price, by default you will enter a buy market;


Buy order right above last

Defines the type of order you will enter by right clicking in the buy column below the market price, by default you will enter a buy market;


Sell order left above last

Defines the type of order you will enter by left-clicking in the sell column above the market price, by default you will enter a sell limit;


Sell order left below last

Defines the type of order you will enter by left-clicking in the sell column below the market price, by default you will enter a sell stop;


Sell order right above last

Defines the type of order you will enter by right clicking in the sell column above the market price, by default you will enter a sell market;


Sell order right below last

Defines the type of order that you will enter by right-clicking in the sell column above the market price, by default you will enter a sell market;






Trading Colors

Defines the colors of the columns of the Chart Dom;


Line Bid/Ask

Enables the Bid/Ask line;


DOM Settings

Enables the Depth of Markets and changes its colors;


Text Settings

Lets you enable Text and change its related colors.
