The Volume Profile Swing is an indicator that automatically plots the Volume Profile on the price swing, based on custom parameters set by the user. This indicator is designed to help understand the volume distribution during significant price movements (swings) and provides a clear view of some potentially important levels, such as swing vwap and the volume distribution near supply and Demand or on BOS (Break of Structure)

Settings-of-Use
How-To Set the Volume Profile Swing
Clicking on the indicator settings icon, you will open its configuration window, within which you can make several choices regarding the functionality of the indicator itself.
GENERAL
Profile Type
This allows you to select the type of volume profile that will be used to analyze the swing.- Volume
Shows the total volume traded at each price level. This option helps identify the most active price levels in terms of the amount of orders executed. - Ask Bid Volume
Displays volume separately for Ask (selling) and Bid (buying) orders, allowing you to better understand the balance between buyers and sellers at each price level. - Delta
Displays the volume delta, which is the difference between the buy (bid) and sell (ask) volume. This parameter is useful for analyzing market pressure, highlighting whether the market is more oriented toward buying or selling by aggressive players. - Delta and Total Volumes
It provides a combination of delta and total volume, for a more complete view of market activity at each price level. This allows you to assess both the intensity of trade between bid and ask, and the overall size of the trade. - Delta Percentage
Displays the percentage of delta to total volume, providing an indication of the relative strength of market pressure. This option is particularly useful for highlighting the strength of buying or selling pressure relative to total volume.
- Volume
Type-of-Length
Defines the reference type for calculating the length of the swing profile.- Swing
When Swing is selected as the length type, the Volume Profile is calculated for each movement characterized precisely by a swing. This type of analysis is useful for identifying volume levels during trend changes, as each swing is analyzed separately, providing an accurate overview of the volume distribution along swings. - VWAP
If VWAP is selected as the length type, the Volume Profile is calculated taking into account the VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) within the swing.
- Swing
Include Reversal Bar
This setting allows you to include or exclude the reversal bar in the swing calculation. When enabled, the bar marking the start of a new swing is considered part of the Volume Profile analysis.
SWING SETTINGS
Main Swing Settings
Swing Type
This setting allows you to select the type of swing to be tracked. Options include modes such as Highest Lowest, Left Right Bar, Absolute Reversal, and Reversal Tick, each of which determines the high and low points of the swing differently.- Left Right Bar
This setting uses a predefined number of bars to identify a swing. - Highest Lowest
Identifies the swing based on a high and low of the price movement. A swing is determined when a new high (highest) or a new low (lowest) is reached relative to the previous price. - Reversal Absolute
Uses a fixed price reversal value to determine a swing. Sufficient price movement in the opposite direction from the current trend is needed to determine the reversal and identify a new swing. This parameter is useful to avoid working on market retracements that are too small. - Reversal Tick
This setting determines a swing using a predefined number of ticks as the criteria for reversal. When price moves a certain number of ticks in the opposite direction of the current trend, a new swing is identified. This is particularly useful for traders who work on very short price movements and need accuracy in detecting trend changes.
- Left Right Bar
Abs. Rev
Absolute Reversal defines the minimum price movement required to determine the reversal of a swing. This value represents a sensitivity criterion and is applied to the swing type Absolute Reversal.Tick Rev./Highest Lowest
Specifies the number of ticks required to determine a reversal or to identify a high/minimum during a swing. This setting determines the Swing Type Highest Lowest and Reversal Tick calculation parameters.Right Bar
This option is used in conjunction with the Left Right Bar mode to determine how many bars to the right of the current price point must be considered to validate a swing.
Swing Stop Settings
The parameters of the Swing Stop Settings are identical to those of the Main Swing Settings. The goal is to apply similar criteria to identify the end of a current swing, but with a separate flexibility to control it, thus defining the swing stop criteria.
Enable Stop Swing
Toggles on or off the use of the swing stop criteria.
All other parameters (6-7-8-9) are explained in the Main Swing Settings section.
VWAP SWING
These settings allow you to customize the length and dynamics of the swing when the VWAP parameter is used as the setting of parameter 2. Type of Length, of the General section of this indicator.
Swing Min Ticks
This parameter defines the minimum number of ticks required to consider the start of a swing. Before a move can be identified as a swing, the price must move at least the specified number of ticks. This setting helps to filter market moves based on the trader's operations or the extension conditions of the financial instrument being analyzed.Swing Max Ticks
It sets the maximum number of ticks a move can reach before being considered part of the current swing. Exceeding this maximum tick value will close the swing and start tracking a new swing. This setting prevents excessive moves from being considered part of a single swing, ensuring a more segmented analysis.VWAP Break Ticks
Defines the number of ticks required to confirm the VWAP Break (Break) within the swing. When the price movement exceeds the specified number of ticks for the break, the development of the vwap for the current swing will no longer be plotted on the chart.
